Originally conceptualized as a ‘scherzo’ movement for a larger work, Ritual was rewritten for Rutgers’ Helix Ensemble to be performed at the Spring Concert in April, 2025.

Details

Conceived as a companion symphony to the fantasy book series The Redemption of Erâth, Consolation is a symphonic tone poem that retells the story of the first book through orchestral music.

Originally intended for soprano Susana Leiva, I was convinced to consider mezzo-soprano or baritone given the range I had written. The first and sixth songs are being premiered at the Rutgers New Music Workshop in Spring 2025.
